A column consists of a shaft with a capital and base. When selecting the column height, please be aware that the height includes the capital and base.
Our pultruded columns are a cost conscious alternative to our fiberglass columns, made of a thinner yet still robust material. These columns are suitable for use in outdoor or indoor applications, and are best used in applications where they will be painted.

Load-Bearing capacity is dependent on distributing the load evenly over bearing surfaces of the shaft. All installation information is of general nature; columns should be installed and secured according to standard construction practices and in compliance with local regulations. 2nd story balconies should not be attached directly to the side of any column.

Pultruded columns, though thin, are very robust as indicated by the load bearing capacity. In addition to these load bearing RoyaLite columns, all of the RoyaLite column covers in the first chart at the top can be assembled to bear some weight.
