A column consists of a shaft with a capital and base. When selecting the column height, please be aware that the height includes the capital and base.
Our pultruded columns are a cost conscious alternative to our fiberglass columns, made of a thinner yet still robust material. These columns are suitable for use in outdoor or indoor applications, and are best used in applications where they will be painted.
We sell Royal Corinthian Columns. Royal Corinthian has over 25 years experience in the manufacture of industry specified Fiberglass/FRP columns, previously reserved only for large commercial or residential specification. Royal Corinthian is a leader in quality through reputation, providing a long lasting, sturdy option to the standard “boutique” variety columns available elsewhere. Crown-Molding.com is very pleased to be one of the few online retail stores permitted to offer the Royal Corinthian line.
Load-Bearing capacity is dependent on distributing the load evenly over bearing surfaces of the shaft. All installation information is of general nature; columns should be installed and secured according to standard construction practices and in compliance with local regulations. 2nd story balconies should not be attached directly to the side of any column.
