Fiberglass, composite and urethane bases are available in a number of alternative sizes. Bases fit around the column shaft and can be split to fit around existing posts or structures.
Our Tuscan Bases are made from a poly/marble composite which results in a base that feels like stone but weighs significantly less. We can make any of our bases from high density polyurethane or a lightweight fiberglass that is lb for lb stronger than steel. Our smaller bases have a slight curvature to the top of the plinth or the bottom-most part to allow for water runoff (as pictured).
Our bigger sized bases have no curvature or a subtle curvature to the top of the plinth. We have the capability to adjust any of the hole openings above to work with the opening that you need (we can widen or shorten the opening). Also, we can make the holes smaller so that your existing column
can sit on top of the base rather than slide inside of it. We can provide our bases without the plinth, we can extend the plinth, or we can make the plinth round rather than square. Basically, if you need a custom base, it is something we can do easily and with minimal up-charge more often than not. Please keep in mind that splitting a base will result in smaller dimensions due to the material removed due to saw kerf (up to a 1/4″). Not every size base is as pictured: If you are trying to match a specific style of Tuscan Base, please email us a picture to [email protected] and we find the best fit. We have access to thousands of sizes and styles.

If you are looking to order these look no further and order from here. When these were delivered I was shocked. So much better than I expected and they are beautiful. If I would have ordered the columns with them I don’t believe I would have painted them at all. I shopped and found the best price and delivery cost right here.
RANDY CASH –
Is it possible to special order Tuscan base AND capital with the opening at 6.5/8 ? THANK YOU.

Yes we can, but there would be a special one time plug charge of $125. Please call us at 1-888-610-5990 to place a custom order, or if you have any questions and we’d be happy to help

Excellent material and help by the sales person. Items work perfectly.

These bases are very solid and heavily built. I used the split design for my application, and used standard fiberglass resin materials to mate them. Should last another 120 years!

I ordered four bases, and it took a while to get them, but I was impressed with the quality that was much better than those installed 25 years ago. It was worth the wait. I have since ordered four more bases to do all of the columns.
