Why Crown-Molding.com? . . . . . . . . .There are lots of reasons.

15 years of Experience:

Crown-Molding.com was started as the shopping basket site for ProfileMouldings.com, which, together with our associated companies, has been in the molding business for over 15 years.

On-line Convenience:

In 2003 we realized that we needed a way to continue selling and servicing our growing list of customers while maintaining our manufacturer roots and reduced pricing. With the advent of the Crown-Molding.com shopping basket, we can now take orders twenty four hours a day, seven days a week. In 2008 Crown-Molding.com separated from the manufacturing arm of the company to specialize in the online distribution of building materials products, locally manufactured and imported.

Over-Seas Bargains and Savings:

We have been importing special order products from over-seas for a number of years servicing our larger customers, including US retailers, contractors and developers. In 2005, we began to pass more of these Group Buy import savings on to our customers through the offerings on this site.

This move has permitted us to specialize in the supply and distribution of these products at prices that save our customers money, delivered in a time frame unlike anything that we were able to accomplish before.

Price Check and Compare:

There are other Distributor Direct and “Wholesale” building product offers out there, and many of them reputable; but be careful to know what you want versus what you are looking at.

What density of polyurethane do they use?

Our contractor length and all Fypon products use a 6 pound polyurethane packed to an 11 pound density. Skipping the long explanation of what that means, just remember that lighter density mouldings are not as solid or firm, and while they may be fine for crowns and medallions, that are never going to get bumped or abused, you do not want to use them on pilaster strips or casings. Also, lighter density polyurethane mouldings are more apt to show shrinkage in adverse climates. . . .not ours!

Include the whole deal when comparing prices.

Some online retailers excite you with upfront pricing and then surprise you with excessive shipping charges. Others build in the shipping and call it “Free Shipping”, often requiring them to build in a small margin of error, since there really is no free shipping. You pay for it somewhere.

Also remember, shippers, including us, charge a base rate in many cases and then increase charges incrementally as the weight or size increases. This is why you find that you are paying $25.00 to ship one piece of something but only $5.00 more to ship 6 pieces.

Return Policy:

You can check our return policy by going to the FAQ Pages of our web site.

Working on both sides of the Border:

We have distribution warehouses across the United States, and customs transfer hubs all along the US/Canadian border to better service our Canadian Customers.

Our products are shipped from one or more of our warehouses or factories spread out across the United States. For our American Customers this translates into faster shipping times and for our Canadian customers, we take care of the import duties and taxes so you don’t have to mess with the paperwork or any additional charges.

We thank you for taking the time to have a look at our site and the products we offer and hope that we will have the opportunity to work with you in the very near future.
