TRACKING YOUR ORDER:
Tracking numbers are assigned to packages on the day that they depart which, unless otherwise stated is typically within 2 to 4 business days of the order being processed (most Fypon items take 5-7 days: check the item you are ordering for specific details). updated shipping or tracking information will appear on our website under My Account as long as you have registered as a new customer and not as a guest.
Tracking availability may vary depending on the shipping method selected during checkout and the carrier that is delivering your order.
There are several ways to track the status of your order:
- Check your email. The email address you provided during checkout allows us to provide information about the status of your order.
- Visit the website. Sign In to your account to view order history, tracking information, and information about past orders 24 hours a day.
- Contact us. If you still have questions about your order, contact Customer Service.
Once your order has shipped, we will email you a tracking number if applicable.
Orders that are not sent by Post are usually sent through UPS
To track your UPS order go to www.UPS.com and insert your tracking number where instructed to do so.
For some larger orders, we use alternative services which would therefore be listed in your tracking information.
The status of your order is supplied by HDP Moldings, LLC. and applies to your order between the time you place it and the time it ships from our warehouse. Once your order leaves our warehouse, it is handled by a carrier (UPS, FedEx or the like) that may provide tracking information until your order is delivered. The tracking information is accessible at any time by entering the My Account section of the web site when it becomes available.
Additional "Expedited" freight prepaid: If you have paid additional funds for a more expedited method of delivery, this is for the in transit shipping portion of your order only. The expedited freight begins once the order is processed and has left the warehouse. The time specified in the individual listings are still necessary in order to prepare your order for departure.
RECEIVING YOUR ORDER:
The majority of our shipments will not require your presence or signature at time of delivery: If you have issue with not being present to accept and or inspect the product, it is the customer's responsibility to be available or make alternative arrangements for the delivery of their order. The liability for the order transfers from HDP Moldings, LLC. to the customer once the product is shipped. In situations where customer presence and signature is required, it is the customers responsibility to be present and ready to offload the product in a timely manner using manpower or suitable equipment in keeping with the carrier's policy for offloading. HDP Moldings, LLC. and it's affiliates are not responsible for orders that are undeliverable from a failure on the part of the customer to return calls to the freight company or to agree to make necessary arrangements (typically required for larger orders) to receive the products being shipped.
Unless other arrangements are made and paid for by the customer, freight is charged on a "Curbside Delivery" basis. Additional services for detailed "inside" or "around the back" deliveries will be made at an additional cost to the customer.
Once your order has arrived, immediately inspect the package for potential damage that may have occurred during shipping. Carefully inspect the packaging and the contents of the package. Take pictures at all stages including pictures of the delivered product as it lays where it was placed by the carrier. Take pictures of any damage to the packaging prior to unpackaging. It is normal for the box to show some wear; however, if additional damage has occurred:
- Accept the package, but make a note of the damage on the shipping receipt, sign and date it. The delivery person should also sign the slip and leave a copy for your records. Contact Customer Service immediately to report the damage. Please have your order number available when you call.
- If there is extensive damage to the carton, refuse the order and contact Customer Service immediately at so we may make arrangements for the replacement of the order. Please have your order number available when you call.
If you have accepted the order and noted damage, later discovering that there was damage to the products inside, please contact us with item codes and quantities of the items damaged. You may be required to package these items up for return; however, digital photos will often assist in determining if this is necessary or not.
You have 72 hours to unpack your order to assure that all of the pieces expected within your order have been included and are correct and without internal damage. We are not able to assume responsibility for items reported missing, incorrect or damaged after this inspection period has lapsed.
RETURNING YOUR ORDER:
Unless otherwise specified in the product details of the item purchased, all of our products may be returned without reason within 15 days of the ship date. Upon receipt and satisfactory inspection of your products, you will be refunded for the cost of the product less a standard 20% restocking fee. For any products where custom work was requested for alterations prior to shipping (example: split columns or split capitals and bases) there are are no returns permitted. Columns that are considered non-stock sizes are considered custom and are not returnable.
All returns require a return authorization number which may be obtained by emailing email@example.com . Please contact us for this number before shipping any merchandise back. All Returns should be carefully packed and insured and must be freight prepaid. COD returns will not be accepted, and any shipping charges related to returns or incurred by Crown-Molding.com in the original order are non-refundable.
Unless otherwise Specified, returned merchandise must be in original, unmodified, saleable condition.
CHARGEBACKS AND COLLECTIONS:
It is our committment, first and foremost, to insure 100% customer satisfaction with our products and service. We ask that our customers read our terms and policies carefully, as they are meant to protect both the buyer and the seller, in order to insure a smooth transaction for all parties. In situations where an amicable resolution cannot be sought and a chargeback is initiated by the customer, HDP Moldings, LLC. will defend its rights to monies rightfully owed. If the chargeback process deprives HDP Moldings, LLC. of monies rightfully owed, HDP Moldings, LLC. reserves the right to collect said monies using any third party collection process and/or via litigation. The customer agrees that if found to righfully owe said monies to HDP Moldings, LLC., the customer will be responsible for all fees arising from collections including court costs and legal fees incurred by HDP Moldings, LLC. Similarly and in keeping with our policy of fairness, if HDP Moldings, LLC. is found to be guilty of breach of contract, HDP Moldings, LLC. will incur the court costs and legal fees of the prevailing party. All litigation, mediation, or third party dispute resolution whether initiated by the buyer or the seller will take place in Dupage County of the State of Illinois.

Additional Answers to frequently asked questions
The shorter the lengths, the cheaper the shipping:
Carriers charge extra for lengths over 8 feet and even more for lengths over 12 feet. For this reason the best price on shipping is achieved by ordering 8 foot lengths.
Add it all together before comparing prices:
The price to compare from one supplier to another should be the total that it costs to get the product to your door along with any additional costs associated with home installation. Crown-Molding.com starts with a comparative or less expensive price. Add in the cost of shipping your moldings keeping in mind the labor savings, as there are less joins when installing contractor length moldings.
Is Crown-Molding.com right for me?
Since Crown-Molding.com is a Manufacturers Distributor, we are set up best to receive larger molding orders as that is what the dealers normally send us. These orders often start around $2,500.00. While our pricing for individual products is very good, the online pricing is set to get better, the more product you order. You may find that ordering just one item comes to the same price as it would if you had you purchased it else ware. Given this information, you need to decide what is best for your particular situation.
My moldings are only $500.00 and I am paying $100.00 to ship them?
We hear this question or questions like this once in a while when people are ordering the contractor length moldings. While longer moldings do cost more to ship, it is also important to remember that you are receiving an extremely large discount when you purchase from Crown-Molding.com. We can do this because of our arrangements with various manufacturers though out the US and Canada; but unfortunately, we do not own a shipping company, so they charge us what they charge anyone shipping the volume of freight that we do in a given month.
Another comparison would be the cost of purchasing these same moldings at retail prices. You might be paying $900.00 for the same products and still have to pay $100.00 for shipping. This certainly looks better as a ratio, but it adds up to much more than you need to spend.
Are the shipping dates a promise?
What if my order is for a very large number of lengths or pieces?
Good question. We apply a date to items adjusted to what we think is the maximum time required to produce an average size order of that product at this time. For larger orders, or in the event that a molding or architectural detail may be held up due to current orders or machinery breakdown, we will notify you immediately providing an estimated ship date so that you will have the option to change your order accordingly.
Can I call in my order rather than ordering it online?
In all cases it is best to go ahead and order online, as it allows us to spend our time on what we do best . . . manufacturing. If you need to discuss a large order, we would be pleased to help out and even take your order over the phone if necessary.
If you just need to chat about a medallion, a couple of blocks or one room of mouldings you may be best served by calling one of the online dealers that are set up with order desks for this purpose. At Crown-Molding.com the same person that might talk with you on the phone also spends time on the floor and in other offices of the company.

Do you ship outside of the Continental USA?
Yes we do. Contact our offices by phone or fax to get a quote on shipping your order if it is to be sent outside of the continental USA. Canadian orders may be placed online and will be delivered without any additional charges to your address in Canada. We take care of Customs and related charges.
The Quick Ship Program:
If you see the "Quick Ship" logo on the item page, that means that this item typically ships in two (2) days for orders less than 30 pieces. While many orders in excess of 30 pieces may still ship within two days, there may be a few days delay depending on current stock levels. You will be notified with a ship date by the following business day after placing your order.
