This
chart outlines the quantity of balusters necessary to cross a span
of the noted length. In some cases you may be cutting down a standard
eight foot baluster rail to a shorter length. As an example, if you were
to cut your rails to six feet, using the chart, you can see the quantity of balusters necessary dependent on the bluster type that you are ordering in order to fill between the newel
posts, fiberglass columns or existing porch posts in order to meet the 4 inch ball code requirement of most States.
